Annual City Census by Mail

Each year, the City of Everett mails an Annual City Census form to every household. If you live in Everett, you should complete and return the form within 10 days of receipt, even if you are not registered to vote. Include everyone who lives in your household, including children and non-U.S. citizens. 

Completing the Annual City Census helps Everett:

  • Keep voter records up to date*
  • Maintain accurate resident records
  • Receive and support state funding based on population information

*Important: Completing the Annual City Census does not register you to vote. If you need to register to vote or update your voter registration, visit the Register to Vote page.

How to Complete Your Census

  1. Review the information on your census form.
  2. Make any necessary updates.
  3. Sign the form.
  4. Return it to the Elections Department as soon as possible.

For your convenience, the annual census mailing may also include:

  • A Vote by Mail application
  • A Dog License application
