August Senior Social Set By Mayor DeMaria’s Council on Aging
Please join Mayor Carlo DeMaria’s Council on Aging for it’s monthly senior social on Wednesday August 17, 2011 at The Connolly Center, 90 Chelsea St. This month the council has chosen a boxed lunch consisting of sandwiches and all that goes with it. Monthly Casino Trip
Please join Mayor Carlo DeMaria’s Council on Aging for it’s monthly casino trip. This month the council travels to Mohegan Sun on Thursday August 11, 2011 departing The Spring St parking lot promptly at 7:30am. Come and enjoy the change of pace of this Las Vegas style Casino. St Anthony’s Feast
Please join Mayor Carlo DeMaria’s Council on Aging for a special trip to St Anthony’s Feast in Boston’s North End on Sunday August 28, 2011. School bus transportation will depart The Connolly Center at 11:30am and drop you to one of Boston’s most exciting events, St Anthony’s Feast. Here you will enjoy the music, celebrate the culture and feast on the delicious foods offered at vendor locations. NEW YORK CITY TRIP
Mayor Carlo DeMaria’s Council on Aging is very happy to announce a trip to fabulous New York City September 18-19, 2011. Our luxury motor coach departs The Connolly Center at 7:30am. We will arrive in New York City around lunch time , where you will have time to have lunch (on your own) and explore. At 2pm there will be a two hour escorted motor coach tour of The Big Apple. After our tour we will head to check into our hotel. At 5:30 pm we will dine at the famous Carmine’s Italian restaurant where you will enjoy and abundance of Italian fair. After dinner you will have the choice to saty in the city or head back to our hotel. On day two you will enjoy a grand buffet breakfast before returning to the city, where you will be shuttled to canal street for bargains and to little Italy to experience The Festival of San Gennaro** ( see Connolly Center). Mayor Carlo DeMaria’s Council on Aging, Office of Human Services in conjunction with Cambridge Health Alliance is thrilled to announce the continuance of FREE Fitness programs at The Connolly Center for seniors age 62 and over. (read more)
