Our Mission
The mission of the Office
of Community Development is to enhance the
viability of the community as a desirable
place in which to live and work through sound
urban planning practices; housing, human services
and economic development activities that will
primarily benefit persons of low and moderate
income; and by eliminating conditions of slum
and blight.
Our Responsibilities
The Office of Community Development
is responsible for community and economic
development and planning and housing activities
for the City of Everett. We administer the
City’s Community Development Block Grant
(CDBG) program, which is funded by the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development.

City to hold Public Meeting
on Monday September 27th to get input from
residents.
The City of
Everett is seeking public input about community
development priorities. Please join Mayor
Carlo DeMaria and Community Development Staff
to discuss community needs and identify projects
that you think should be priorities for Everett
and should be part of the City of Everett’s
Community Development Strategy.
The meeting will be held in the Keverian
Room of the Everett City Hall on Monday evening,
September 27, 2010 at 6:00p.m.
This meeting is being held as part of the
city’s preparation of the 2011 Mini-
Entitlement Grant Application that will be
submitted to Department of Housing and Community
Development on December 10, 2010.
