  • AUGUST SENIOR SOCIAL
    Please join Mayor Carlo DeMaria’s Council on Aging for it’s monthly Senior Social on Wednesday August 18, 2010 beginning at 12 noon. This month’s meal will consist of a boxed lunch with seafood salad and ham& cheese sandwiches and all that goes with it.   • Farmer’s market Coupons Available for Eligible Seniors at The Connolly Center
    Mystic Valley Elder Services and Mayor Carlo DeMaria’s Council on Aging will be distributing a limited number of Farmer’s Market Coupons to eligible Everett Seniors on a first come first served basis, Monday August 2, from 10am until 11am at The Connolly Center. People ages 60 or older must meet the following income guidelines; for a family of one, the maximum monthly income should be no greater than $1,670.   • MBTA/CHARLIE PASS to be distributed AT THE CONNOLLY CENTER
    Mayor Carlo DeMaria’s Council on Aging is happy to announce that the MBTA will be at The Connolly Center on Wednesday September 29, 2010 from 10am until 1pm to distribute your Senior or T.A.P. Charlie Card pass. An MBTA staffer will be on hand to issue senior discount passes along with answering questions about the MBTA’s automated fare collection system.For more information about this event please call Dale at 617 394 2323 or Ida at 617 394 2260
  • Festival of St Anthony
    Please join Mayor Carlo DeMaria’s Council on Aging for a bus trip to The Festival of St Anthony in Boston’s Historic North End on Sunday August 29, 2010. It will be school bus transportation and will depart The Connolly Center at 11:15am. Join us for all the sights and sounds that this annual festival has to offer. Witness the devoted members of St. Anthony’s Society carry the statue of their patron Saint through the winding streets of the North End.   • ZUMBA ON THE HIGH SEAS
    Mayor Carlo DeMaria’s has planned a very exciting day trip on The Spirit of Boston, Friday September 17, 2010. Join us as we cruise Boston Harbor for a Zumba cruise with none other than our own Jill. This excursion features a world class Grand Buffet, dancing to one of Boston’s favorite DJ’s, a Zumba demonstration with Jill and round trip school bus transportation, which departs The Connolly Center at 10:30am. Please know that payment is due with reservations, which need to be made no later than August 10, 2010. Don’t be left out, this trip is sure to fill quickly.   • CONNOLLY CENTER TO GET FRONT ENTRANCE UPGRADES, OPEN DURING CONSTRUCTION - The Mayor’s office would like to inform all residents, seniors and groups visiting the Connolly Center must use the rear or side entrances to access the building. Services provided by the Council on Aging, Human Services, Literacy and Veterans Programs, will be available during the construction.
  • Monthly Diabetes Support Group
    Mayor Carlo DeMaria’s Council on Aging and MT Care Navigators invites you to attend the monthly FREE diabetes support group on Tuesday July 13, 11am at The Connolly Center.   • Senior Social
    Mayor Carlo DeMaria’s Council on Aging has planned its monthly senior social for July. The event will take place on Wednesday July 21, 2010, 12 noon at The Connolly Center. This month’s meal will be a pizza party with antipasto and dessert. Ticket Sales are Tuesday July 13, Wednesday July 14, & Thursday July 15th from 10am until 12 noon in The Council on Aging Office.   • FREE SENIOR BBQ FOR EVERETT SENIORS
    Mayor Carlo DeMaria Jr. and The Council on Aging invite Everett Senior Citizens to a Free BBQ on Wednesday July 28, 2010 at The Connolly Center beginning at 5pm..
    Tickets for this event are available July 19 through the 23rd at The Council on Aging Office from the hours of 10am until 1pm. Join us for great food, good fun and special entertainment. Remember you must be an Everett Senior with proof of residence.

  • FOXWOOD TRIP
    Please join Mayor Carlo DeMaria’s Council on Aging for it’s monthly Foxwoods Trip on Monday August 9, 2010.Our luxury coach departs The Connolly Center at 7am and returns about 7pm.
