I do not believe that it is fair to have to pay every time you need to get rid of an item from your home. I know that the revenue collected is used for something (who knows what). If you need to throw out more than one item that can get a bit expensive. I came from Boston where you do not have to pay to throw out household items. I think that there should be a better option. Maybe the items can be recycled and given to residents of Everett that need household items. I really think it unfair if you do not have means to go to the dump ( which I do not know where the one that serves Everett is). Everett is all about $$$ when it comes to these types of situations. II remember there was a time when you got points for recycling and you could get magazines, coupons, movie tickets etc. I guess that was to expensive for Everett to pay for but the money they get for discarded household items goes where.???
