City to Plant 100 Trees for this Season

In an effort to continue to beautify and prepare our neighborhoods for the spring and summer months, Mayor DeMaria, the Department of Public Works and the Office of Planning and Development recently coordinated the planting of trees across the City.

Every dollar spent on planting and caring for a community tree yields benefits that are two to five times the investment. These benefits include cleaner air, lower energy costs, improved water quality and storm water control and increased property values....

Mayor DeMaria Continues Public Art Campaign

As part of Mayor DeMaria’s efforts to bring more public art to the City of Everett, the Mayor’s Office working with the Advanced Art class at Everett High School will begin a public art mural on a retaining wall on the Northern Strand Community Trail.

Under the direction of Ms. Annette LeRay and Mr. Evan DeMarzo the students will be creating a 50-foot mural to bring art into the community and provide another clean, colorful space to the city of Everett.

Mayor Carlo DeMaria is pleased to announce that Saturday, May 20th is the first Annual Kids to Parks Day in the City of Everett.
