Parents' Action Committee of Everett (PACE) and the Power of 6 Campaign
The Parents' Action Committee of Everett, PACE, was formed in early 2013 to address underage drinking concerns in the community. This group of middle school parents organized to develop a campaign to support and encourage conversations with children in grades 5-8. PACE researched alcohol issues, looked at local and national data on substance use by youth, reviewed other social marketing efforts and held focus groups with Everett parents in English, Spanish and Portuguese to form the Power of 6 campaign.
